Python Job: System Administrator

Fin Design + Effects is currently looking for a Systems Administrator to provide IT support to our production staff and artists.
This is a great opportunity to work directly in the film industry alongside a distinguished team of animation and VFX artists. We have produced a variety of interesting and high-profile work including Thor: Love and Thunder, Elvis, Three Thousand Years of Long, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Thor: Ragnarok and I Am Mother. We are currently in production on several tentpole feature films and episodic projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitoring of systems and network performance.
• Maintenance of servers and infrastructure.
• Report to the Head of IT and Head of Production Tech regarding issues relating to infrastructure.
• Assist with deployment of new software and systems.
• Liaise with key business personnel to anticipate future hardware and software requirements for upcoming VFX projects.
• Review and improve current information technology processes.
• Security Compliance (MPAA/TPN).

• Designing and deploying I.T. systems and infrastructure.
• Virtualization administration (e.g. KVM, Hyper-V).
• Cloud Compute and Networking (AWS, GCP).
• Networking design and configuration. LAN/WAN architecture (L2/L3, VLANs, ACLs, BGP, VPN, DHCP, DNS).
• Active Directory Services administration.
• Storage Systems deployment (e.g. DFS, Storage Spaces, ZFS, iSCSI SAN).
• Data Management and protection (e.g. DR, backup and archiving).
• Security (e.g. digital system security, management and company procedures and policies, change management, physical security, risk management).
• Systems Automation.
• Monitoring (e.g. zabbix/grafana/nagios/cacti).
• SIEM (e.g. graylog/splunk/syslog).
• Vulnerability testing (e.g. gsm/openvas).
• Business Continuity.

Nice to Have Skills

• Previous experience with MPAA/TPN audit preparation and compliance.
• Teradici architecture deployment.
• Virtual Workstation deployment and management.
• Render farm management experience (Deadline).
• Coding - Powershell, Python experience (including Django and QT).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,505.00 – $123,290.44 per year
